A Local Gelato Favorite With a Loyal Following (August 2026) Matty’s Gelato Factory has become something of a local institution in Juno Beach, with a loyal following and enough awards displayed around the shop to make it clear that plenty of people consider this their favorite gelato stop. The original location opened in 2017, and Matty’s has since expanded to Stuart. The Juno Beach shop is small, casual, and charming, with a large rotating selection of gelato and a genuinely friendly staff. It feels very much like a neighborhood business rather than a polished chain. Parking is easy and free in the shopping center directly out front. I tried the pistachio and OMG Coffee Chocolate Mascarpone, while my wife had Judge’s Chocolate. The pistachio and coffee mascarpone were both very good, and I especially appreciated the variety of flavors available. I was a little less enthusiastic about the chocolate, which had a slight aftertaste to me. My wife really enjoyed it. Overall, the gelato was good and I can understand Matty’s strong local following. For my own palate, though, I found the gelato at Venchi in Palm Beach Gardens and Gelato & Co. in Jupiter creamier and more flavorful.

My husband and I went to Matty’s Gelato today and I got the Peanut Butter Chocolate flavor. It’s my favorite and my usual as we frequent there once a month. Upon trying it, I commented to the employees that the gelato was very soft. I was hoping they would offer me another flavor but they didn’t. One employee said he’d tell Matt about it. I would have appreciated the opportunity to get a different flavor, especially because it was not as firm as it usually is. I had my husband try it because he got the M & M flavor. He agreed mine was soft.

The flavors that I sampled were delicious and strong! I ended up getting the OMG! Coffee. I will have to go back and try some more of the flavors.

A must try if you are gluten free! Items containing gluten are clearly labeled. They also have gluten free waffle taco shells that are absolutely delicious (and super reasonably priced!). I got the coffee mascarpone and peanut butter chocolate and they were amazing. My family can all eat gluten and they loved everything as well! Cannot wait to go back.

So we came here after eating our way through leonardis pizza as the wife had the idea now to get ice cream. So I found this place as it had good reviews and some news articles stated the best ice cream in the state. So when you walk in, first thing I noticed was the thousands of pictures taken of I’m guessing patrons from the past. The employees there were all young like teenagers and very nice. I then of course sampled a lot of the flavors. They were actually good. My wife then ordered a regular for us of cookie butter gelato which was excellent with judges ice cream and then another small of lemon sorbet. We got our little one a vanilla gelato cone. Everything was very good and creamy. My daughter no lie ate 3 vanilla cones and kept on yelling for more. Now usually I’m not the parent from Augusta Gloop from Willy Wonka, but my daughter won’t eat anything and she’s screaming more. So we gave her more as we were happy she would just eat. So needless to say the gelato was excellent
